This mermaid is interesting because she resembles Aquatini mermaid to the tee except for the red color, and the glass of champagne in her hand. A very interesting variation. A keeper.

These have special mention here They are the European magnet additions of both Officer John and Bodybuilder Bruce. I'll say that they weren't too easy to obtain at a cheap price, but were well worth it for my collection.

These are sold as a pair from Germany. I guess it was for the straight people to enjoy the mermen and mermaids as a happy heterosexual couple, too. Lily is different in that she is the replica of the Bride ornament from 2008 with dark hair instead of blonde. David is the same as black groom. Germany also paired the black and white grooms together as Mike &Tom. So many stories with these merfish...

These particular merman and mermaids were manufactured in China specifically for the European market. The company is called Casablanca, and the line was under the name "Glamour Nixen". I know next to nothing about this company and what was issued as far as a definitive line of these products. What I found were some very interesting changes to the already familiar merman and mermaids that were issued here in the states. The four random pictures above are what the box art looked like when sold and shipped to the European buyers.

From what I've seen out there in the German market(where the company is/was situated), I saw replicas of the December Diamonds merman and mermaids with different names. Click on the picture for a fuller explanation of the differences.

Mike & Tom are the same as their US counterparts Black Groom and The White Groom. The only difference is that the cufflinks on these guys are gold rhinestones, and the US guys have diamond ones. Otherwise they are exactly the same. Not enough for an expensive purchase since they were sold together.
